   Legal status: The NPS page: "Gunnison Beach is a clothing optional beach."

   Where	Sandy Hook unit of Gateway National Recreation Area; the beach plaza and sand are reached by the trail at the east end of the Beach G parking lot.
   Access	By car to the Beach G lot (Sandy Hook charges a seasonal parking fee); the trail from the east end of the lot.
   Facilities	Restrooms and showers during the peak season. No lifeguards at Gunnison; the NPS asks visitors to swim only where lifeguards are on duty (areas C, D and E).
   Season and hours	Sandy Hook swimming beaches are open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day; lifeguarded beaches 10 am to 6 pm daily in season.
   Rules on the page	Alcohol is not allowed at Sandy Hook; glass containers, fishing, kite flying, scuba and snorkelling are prohibited on swimming beaches.
